March 6, 2020 marks the 80th anniversary of the birth of Anatoly Alexandrovich Okorokov (1940–1992). For the author’s anniversary, D-29 art gallery, together with the artist’s family, prepared an exhibition of his paintings, drawings and sculptures. Anatoly Okorokov — a graduate of Surikovka, studied under Zhilinsky and Gritsay, an artist of the Moscow Union of Artists, participated in republican and all-Union exhibitions. Despite the «non-Soviet» optics, obvious sympathy for Fauvism, extravaganza of color, his career has developed quite successfully in the system of official art. He gained fame not only as a painter, but as a masterly graphic artist and as a sculptor. Okorokov lived only 52 years, but left a significant creative legacy. “Anatoly Okorokov. Anniversary exhibition. Painting. Graphics. Sculpture” will last March 20, 2020. The hall at 29 Dolgorukovskaya is open from Monday to Saturday, from 14-00 to 20-00 (Sunday is a day off).
